Community Rules

These rules apply to submissions, comments, Development Rooms, Actor Universe materials, votes, boosts, and every public-facing interaction on community.movie. We enforce through automated signals and human moderators.

Generally allowed

Original fiction, world-building, and tone-appropriate humour that respects other members.
Constructive critique of ideas (not people), including clear "why" explanations and alternate suggestions.
Age-appropriate romantic or dramatic themes without explicit sexual violence, exploitation, or graphic gore.
Fantasy violence described at a PG-13 level suitable for a broad studio audience.
Fan enthusiasm expressed without copying third-party scripts, novel excerpts, or brand-owned character bibles verbatim.

Rejected (immediate removal / strike)

Harassment, doxxing, brigading, hate speech, slurs, or violent threats.
Sexual content involving minors, exploitation, or non-consensual themes.
Terrorism, extremist recruitment, instructions for serious real-world harm, or facilitation of illegal weapons or drugs.
Malware, fraud, phishing, spam networks, or credential harvesting.
Impersonation of staff, moderators, or public figures intended to mislead the community or steal accounts.
Attempts to treat community.movie as a fundraising vehicle for financial returns, unregistered offers, or off-platform paid schemes tied to our greenlights.

Needs human review

Edge-case political, cultural, or religious allegory that may read as targeting real groups.
Depictions of mental health, self-harm, or eating disorders that require contextual framing or resources.
High-intensity action or horror that could exceed our default audience expectations for a challenge brief.
Alleged lookalikes or thinly veiled references to real private individuals.
Trademark-adjacent names, logos, or stills that may require clearance even if submitted as "parody".

Actor Universe add-ons

Actor submissions may not depict real people (including celebrities), private individuals, or minors; may not clone copyrighted franchise characters or distinctive trade dress; may not sexualise performers; and may not centre graphic torture, gore, hate iconography, or extremist symbols. Moderators may crop, reject, or require edits before publication.

Enforcement

We may warn, shadow-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts; withhold distribution; or remove associated media. Repeat or severe abuse may trigger permanent loss of Studio Credits and membership without a refund beyond what our refund policy describes.
