General
- What is community.movie?
A participatory studio where members submit ideas, vote, join Development Rooms, and follow productions built on NeuraLoom. Participation is for creative voice and recognition—not for operating the studio or directing greenlights.
- Who runs editorial decisions?
Human editors, moderators, and producers. Automated scores and summaries are helpers; they do not replace human judgement on safety or selection.
Membership
- What do paid tiers include?
Monthly Studio Credits, submission limits, voting/boost tools, optional Development Room access, and badges as described on Pricing. See Refund & Cancellation for billing.
- Can I cancel?
Yes—cancel anytime from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the paid period in most cases. See Refund & Cancellation.
Studio Credits
- What are Studio Credits?
In-experience tokens used for boosts, certain votes, packs, and gated actions. They are not cash, cannot be withdrawn, and do not create studio control. Read the public explainer on Studio Credits and the legal terms at Studio Credits Terms.
- Do boosts decide which films get made?
Boosts signal enthusiasm. They do not obligate production and do not grant creative control. Greenlights stay with the studio.
Submissions and Rights
- Who owns my pitch text?
You keep underlying rights you already hold while granting community.movie a broad licence to use and adapt submissions as described in Submission Terms.
- Can I remove something after posting?
Use in-product controls where available; archives or derivative summaries may persist for safety, audit, or production records as disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
Safety and Moderation
- How do you handle abuse?
Automated classifiers plus human moderators. See Safety & Community Standards and Community Rules.
- What content is off-limits?
Hate, harassment, sexual exploitation, instructions for serious harm, fraud, and impersonation are removed. Edge cases may be limited pending human review.
Voting and Boosting
- How are votes counted?
We apply one-member integrity checks, rate limits, and Studio Credit rules tied to your tier. Abuse may result in rollbacks or suspensions.
- Are boosts public?
Typically yes—they appear as activity on an idea. Exact UX may vary by challenge.
Development Rooms
- What happens in a Development Room?
Structured feedback threads and polls that feed editorial review. AI may summarise threads; moderators set the pace and boundaries. See Development Rooms.
Production and NeuraLoom
- How do challenges become films?
Approved ideas graduate into NeuraLoom projects with tooling for screenplay, scenes, shots, review, and finishing. AI Film Studio overview explains how automation supports human directors.
AI Usage
- Where is AI used?
Scoring, summarisation, moderation hints, Actor visuals, and production assistants as described in AI Disclosure.
Cancellation and Refunds
- How do refunds work?
See Refund & Cancellation. Many fees are earned when the period starts; contact us for billing errors.
Recognition and Badges
- Are badges transferable?
No—badges are cosmetic recognition tied to your account history; they are not tokens with marketplace value.
Actor Universe
- What is the Actor Universe?
A guided flow to build Actor Cards from structured traits, voice archetypes, and limited image generations so the studio can crowdsource casting flavour without surfacing unsafe open prompts.
- Do I own the actor I create?
You retain rights you already have in what you contribute, while granting the broad licence in Submission Terms, including the Actor Universe section. You do not gain casting authority, employment, or approval rights over final films.
- Can I use a celebrity?
No uncredited real-person likenesses, celebrities, or private individuals. Submissions that attempt lookalikes may be rejected.
- Can I build a character from an existing franchise?
Do not copy distinctive third-party characters, costumes, or logos. Original creations only; parody has limits—when in doubt, revise.
- Can my actor appear in a production?
Possibly—selection is discretionary. Participation never guarantees screen time or final design approval.
- Will I be paid if selected?
Selection does not create employment or a promise of payouts. Commercial participation is governed by separate contracts if the studio engages you directly; Studio Credits remain non-cash tokens per Studio Credits Terms.
- What are Actor Packs?
Bundled creative steps—often including a blueprint, voice archetype, Actor Card, a small number of image generations, publication, and progression markers—priced in fiat or Studio Credits as shown when the feature is enabled.
- Why fixed options instead of open prompts?
Structured traits reduce policy risk, improve moderation, and keep generations stylistically aligned with our challenges. It also discourages unsafe prompt injection.
